The MORE Scholarship is a four year scholarship which offers $500 for the first four semesters and $1,000 for the last four semesters. $6,000 Total Scholarship Award
Requirements for High School Qualifications are as follows:
Must be a graduating senior currently enrolled in a Carter County Public High School
Must have a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA OR an ACT score of 21 or higher
Scholarship awards are paid each semester when full time status of the student is verified at an in-state College, University or Technical School
FOR 2025 GRADUATES: Parental Income must be between $35,000 and $100,000 (Adjusted Gross Income) *If student has one or more siblings enrolled full time in a college/university, limit INCREASES to $125,000
For graduates resubmitting their application from the class of 2023 and earlier: Parental Income must be between $35,000 and $90,000 (Adjusted Gross Income) *If student has one or more siblings enrolled in a college/university, limit INCREASES to $115,000
EVERY SENIOR SHOULD APPLY! Even if you are outside of our income qualifications you will have the opportunity to reapply if your status changes, however for you to have an opportunity to reapply you must apply during the application period of your senior year.
Required Documents:
Applicant needs to submit a 2023 or their latest Tax Return for financial criteria. If applicant is not claimed as a dependent on parent/guardian Taxes, documents accepted are official Disability form, Homeless certification letter on school Letterhead.
7 Semester Transcript and ACT Scores
Resubmitting applicants after first semester of college due to GPA (need a 2.5 or better) College Transcript or current Tax Return if financial status changed.
